vintage cbc ad of the day

Vintage Ad #232 - The CBC and Toronto
Time to resurrect an old feature here, thanks to a fresh supply of vintage ads I've amassed dealing with the CBC. Today's trip in the wayback machine stops at the Corp's contribution to the city's official 125th anniversary book.

At this point, CJBC 860 AM was still an English radio station, the flagship for the Dominion Network, an entertainment-based service launched as an alternative to the main network (which was renamed the Trans-Canada Network).

When the Dominion Network was dissolved in 1962, French-language programming was gradually added to CJBC, with nearly all of its schedule taken up with French shows by 1964.
